Miso Soup
Miso soup is a ‘piece of cake’. You can buy the ready mix or make it yourself.
Use the Funyaki’s steamer so that it can be served hot at the table.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups dashi soup stock
- 1 block tofu
- 3-4 tbsps miso paste
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion / spring onion
Preparation:
- Put dashi soup stock in a pan and bring to a boil
- Cut tofu into small cubes and add them to the soup
- Simmer the tofu for a few minutes on low heat
- Scoop out some soup stock from the pan and dissolve miso in it
- Gradually return the miso mixture in the soup
- Stir the soup gently
- Stop the heat and add chopped green onion / spring onion
- Remember not to boil the soup after you put miso in

Teppanyaki
Teppanyaki is a famous way of Japanese-style cooking,
‘Teppan‘ indicates an iron pan, and ‘Yaki‘ indicates grilling in Japanese.
Ingredients:
- Vegetables - cabbage / bean sprout / shiitake mushroom / onion / carrot / potato / eggplants / corn / green pepper
- Meats - beef loin / pork chops or ribs / sausages / shrimp / scallop
- Yakisoba noodle
Preparation:
- Cut all meats and vegetables into bite-sized pieces
- Prepare your own-made dipping sauce or buy some Yakiniku sauce in stores
- You can marinate the meat in the sauce before grilling
- Grill the ingredients on the pan at the table
- Dip cooked food into the dipping sauce and eat
